Press Release RACE PUMP REVOLUTION FOR BIG-BLOCK CHEVY ENGINES! At roughly one-third the weight and one-third the size of most mechanical fuel pumps, the Race Pump removes clutter and weight from tight hot rod and racecar engine compartments. The performance numbers are even more impressive: Race Pump delivers 204 gallons per hour at an unregulated pressure of 60 PSI at any RPM between idle and 10,000. Which is theoretically enough fuel for up to 2,856 HP and is perfect for powerful turbocharged, nitrous or high-compression big-block Chevy engines. The valveless, variable-displacement design means the Race Pump only pumps as much fuel volume as is needed, which gives engine builders the flexibility to use deadhead or bypass regulators. There's no drop in fuel pressure throughout the entire RPM range and the anti-drainback design helps maintain line pressure for fast and easy starting. The Race Pump even reduces parasitic power loss; the pump for carbureted engines requires only 25-percent of the usual pushrod force. The soon-to-be-released Race Pump for EFI engines requires the same pushrod force as a traditional mechanical pump, but eliminates the wiring and plumbing hassles associated with an electric fuel pump. CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and hardcoated for long-term durability, the Race Pump features gasket-free O-ring mounting flange sealing, stainless steel internal parts and proprietary seals designed for gasoline and methanol applications. The pump comes with a -10 inlet and -8 outlet installed, a spare -8 inlet, 12-point high-grade mounting bolts, and is available with an optional mirror-like polished finish for show-winning good looks. |
