Press Release Vapor Lock Resistant Fuel Pressure Regulators The idle bleed is simply a -4 (1/4”) AN
fitting than installs in the side of a Race Pumps regulator to return fuel to
the tank. The carbureted versions have a #70 Holley jet installed to meter the
flow…..the EFI versions have a #40 Holley jet. Gasoline is more vapor lock prone than it
was just a few years ago. E-85 and methanol are even more temperature sensitive.
These fuels can vapor lock at temperatures as low as 150 degrees F! Fuel returning to the tank keeps the fuel
within the engine compartment cooler at low speed and idle. If the fuel is
stagnant and the engine compartment reaches a temperature that is higher than
the boiling point of the fuel….it’s going to vapor lock. A simple solution to a complex problem. Phone 336-476-9720
